Interested in learning how to heat and cool your home more efficiently? Heat Smart installers have been chosen and Open Houses will be held in June at local residents’ home for customers wishing to ask questions and view the heat pumps.
Heat Pumps are economical and environmentally friendly solutions to keep your house warm in the winter and cool in the summer. These systems rely on electricity rather than oil or gas.
Hudson and Stow, along with four other communities, have been selected to participate in the state HeatSmart program, which runs April 1st to October 31st. With the help of a HeatSmart grant from MassCEC, Green Hudson and Sustainable Stow are working together to promote public awareness of smart, energy-efficient ways to heat and cool your house.
In partnership with our communities, the Hudson Light & Power supports these efforts and has increased the Energy Star Heat Pump rebate to $1000 for HeatSmart participants.
