When it comes to the environment, you can help make a difference by investing in Green Power.   The Hudson Light and Power Department has chosen to promote the New England Wind Fund in the hopes that customers will invest today in developing energy sources for tomorrow that do not have a harmful impact on the environment.

Traditional power plants rely heavily on fossil fuels that produce pollutants that impact the environment, the climate and our health.  Much of the Hudson Light and Power Department's resources do not contribute to the greenhouse effect.   A portion of our mix is from renewable sources.  Unfortunately, it is physically impossible to deliver electricity generated from renewable sources to specific customers.  Energy advocates at the Mass Energy Consumer Alliance offer the perfect solution.

Wind power has no harmful emissions and has a high potential for delivering large amounts of energy in New England.  Hudson Light customers can help support the development of wind energy in New England through the New England Wind Fund.  You can make donations of any size that you can afford. You can make a one-time or a monthly gift.  You can do what is convenient for you and beneficial for everyone.
