Hudson
Cub Scouts were given a tour of the station’s engines, switching boards and
lighted circuit maps showing the distribution system.
They also learned how electricity is metered, with light bulbs used to
show how a higher wattage unit turns an electric meter dial faster than an

Not
only is the Power Station an important asset
in the Department’s generation portfolio, it is also a valuable educational
tool for the community. Scouting or other youth group leaders interested in a
